Hon’ble
Mr. Justice Muhammad Akram Qureshi
son of Rehmat Ali Qureshi was born on 12th June, 1951 at
Rawalpindi. He belongs to a respected and well-educated family.
His Lordship graduated from Punjab University and obtained his LL.B
degree from the Punjab University Law College, in the year 1974.
His Lordship joined profession of law in 1975. He actively
practiced law for 33 years at Lahore and remained Member of High Court Bar
Association, Lahore and Rawalpindi High Court Bar Association. He remained
Member Executive Committee of High Court Bar Association. He had been
professor in Punjab Law College, Pakistan College of Law and Quaid-e-Azam
Law College, at Lahore including Civil Service Academy. He was bestowed
with best performance award as Professor of Law on six different
occasions. He had been Senior Special Professor for NAB for eight years.
During his professional career, He conducted more than eight hundred
murder cases including the cases of Talal Bugti, Alia Munawar, Babar
Samina, Muhammad Sharif Dogar Ex-MPA etc. besides the other leading cases
of National importance. By dint of His nobility and knowledge he is held
in highest esteem in legal circles. His lordship elevated as Judge of the Lahore High Court, Lahore on 14-12-2007. |
