(i) Networking Of Benches
After finalization of computerization at three Benches, the inter-linking process shall be initiated which would enable this Court to exchange data/information amongst all the Benches, by means of computer, at any time. It would facilitate the Hon'ble Chief Justice in having the latest information regarding fixation of cases at any Bench, through computer system.
(ii) Extension Of The Current System To Judicial Branches
As an extension of computerization the Current Case Information System shall be extended to all the CRCs ( Cause Register Clerk ). Daily institution of cases shall be made directly in the computer, computerized Urgent Cause List (daily) and related reports shall be generated.
(iii) Computerization Of Budget Branch
Computerization of Budget Branch has also been initiated and purchase of the computer equipment finalized. Necessary software has been developed for this purpose and the same is under testing/implementation phase. Prior to this, Computer Cell has been contributing in the preparation of Budget Statements.
(iv) Computerization Of Treasury Office
Recently, the Hon'ble Chief Justice has been pleased to accord approval for provision of a computer in the office of the Treasurer for facilitating the office to carry out the complex assignments regarding treasury/financial matters.
(v) Case Law
A comprehensive data-base is being developed to include, Constitution of Pakistan, Pakistan Code, index of all the cases reported in law journals. Full text of the judgment besides summary shall also be recorded. `Legal Research System' shall provide research on authorities, precedents and judgments etc. from this large data-base. The services of case-law will be available to the High Court Judges in their Courts via a local area net-work. Private Secretries working in the courts shall utilise computer systems at their desks for their daily routine tasks of composing judgements, orders etc.
This service will be extendable to lawyers, legal practitioners on cost via dial-up connection.
